Scanning / Crosshatching
This is the easiest technique for beginners. Focus on a single number (e.g., 5) and scan all the rows and columns to see where a 5 is already placed. Use those existing 5s to eliminate empty squares in a specific 3x3 box until only one valid square remains.
Naked Singles
Sometimes, a specific cell can only possibly hold one number because the other eight numbers are already present in its sharing row, column, and 3x3 box. Whenever you spot a cell restricted to a single digit, fill it in immediately!
Using Note Mode (Pencil Marks)
As you progress to Medium and Hard difficulties in Sudoku Studio, keeping track of possibilities becomes essential. Tap the "Pencil" icon to toggle Note Mode. This allows you to write tiny candidate numbers inside empty cells. If you determine a cell can only be a 3 or an 8, mark both down. As you solve other parts of the grid, you will systematically eliminate these pencil marks until the solution reveals itself.
